Hi guys,
So On my way home earlier this afternoon, the battery light came on and the steering suddenly got hard. After a few minutes the coolant temperature light (Yellow) came on too and the car's fan went on. The car also suddenly felt like it was not boosting for a while. As i got home, i switched the car off and the fan stayed on for about 10 minutes. Opened up the bonnet and noticed the v-belt (Not too sure what belt it is) was broken.
(I drove home slowly as I was about 3km's from home)
1. Would it be advisable to change only the belt, or would it be advisable to
change the vibration damper pulley too?
2. I need suggestions on the best place to take my vehicle to for this job.
Randburg/Northcliff and surrounding areas.
I will have the car towed to an authorized workshop to have the work done and depending on what is damaged, it will be fixed under warranty, hopefully.
