Howzit guys?

so my e90 320d starter motor decided it was time to give in. my question is, what is the best way to access the starter, from the top or the bottom.
I have a 2008 model which is the n47...dunno if that makes much of a difference.

would really appreciate assistance in this.

thanx.

Up top just make sure that you have a few extensions available and a magnetic pickup tool if you drop any bolts, dont forget to disconnect the battery either else you might blow shit up

Hi guys.

Sorry for the late reply. I started stripping parts off the top to get to the starter motor and in all honesty I had no liss for it as I'm currently extremely busy with work.
I stay in Mayberry Park and made use of straight lines tyres when replacing the tyres on my s40 t5 a few months ago and vaguely remembered seeing a board saying something about bmw specialist in that street...a quick drive to straight line tyres and I see right opposite them is Steve's Auto Tech & Diagnostics(BMW specialist).
Arranged a flat bed truck to drop off the bmw and the hardest part since dropping the bmw off at steve was sourcing a new starter for the car.

I have to give steve and his team a huge rave:clapper::clapper::clapper: they were excellent in their service from the time I arranged to drop off the car to me collecting it. No doubt I will be a loyal customer to steve.
Has anyone else made use of their service.

That being said, only thing now is a leaking coolant pipe which I have placed an order for and then she should be 100%

Thanx guys
