E90 320d Service Indicator

Hello all,

I am a new BMW owner,

My car started warning me today that I still has 3200km's to go before it needs to be serviced.

Is this normal? Will these warnings carry on until the vehicle is serviced?

Yes.
The car will count down how many km's you still can drive till the next service.
It uses algorithms to calculate how the oil etc degrades depending on your driving style.
The harder you drive the sooner the next service.

Eventually, if you do not service the car on the specified time/distance, a warning in red will appear.

Hi their...as i dont want to start new topic....my 320d is also stating need service in 3600km what will then be on 130 000km about.

Can anyone tell me what is to be serviced and refitted on 130 000km for a diesel (oil and oil filter is standard i sepose...lol..but what else? )

Get the oil, fuel and air filter from BMW.

Becareful when changing the fuel filter, it's very easy to crack the plastic heater and strainer that sits behind the fuel filter.... In the event of that happening, simply remove the heater, throw it away and buy a longer fuel filter

Oil from bmw? Aint it normal shell oil and they just add markup?
