Hey guys

Recently bought an e90 320d with just over 100 000km on the clock. Noticed somethin stange when driving and the revs are between 1500 and 2000 rpm. The car will accelerate and decelarate slightly and the rev gauge will climb and fall accordingly. Any ideas as to what might cause this?

Thank you

Could be many things causing this. Have you had the codes read? I would start by having the codes read. If there are no codes. I would check the MAP and the MAF sensor. Maybe unplug each, one at a time, and see if it has any effect. If it fixes the issue clean either one which was unplugged. But it could be other things aswell.

Thanks guys. Taking it to SVG motors tomorrow to have the codes read. Will keep you posted. The place I bought the car from has a 30 day warranty. I'm still well within that period so I need to make sure I get no nasty surprises later.

could be a faulty electronic actuator on the turbo.. seems to be a common fault nowadays on the e90 320d..
