Thanks a lot guys!

Any info or advice regarding the timing chain / tensioner issues

Pre LCI on the 320d had timing chain issues but were rectified on the LCI, I think Pre LCI engine code was N47 and LCI was N47T, if you go 320d the N47T is the engine you want.
Ive owned mine for 2 years and absolutely love it, its an effortless but enjoying drive, does everything brilliantly as well as economically.
As stated above, damper pulley and gearbox oil should be done around 150,000km

Congrats on the new car,

In all honesty, there is enough aftermarket stuff available for the non msport to make it look as good as a msport.

There was a specific 330d exclusive with 20inch wheels that was sold recently that had a fornt spoiler and boot spoiler to match and it changed my opinion of non msport E90 lci's

Thanks for the pics, car looks clean bud! Some of the nice to haves like sports seats/sport steering wheel/etc, could be retrofitted if you find a car that has parts worth stripping.

As per the above, you could add a few aftermarket items to make the car look a little sportier, there is a wide choice online..

@Sash, was this the one you referred to: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=82456

Thanks a lot guys :ty:

I probably wouldnt bother making all of the cosmetic changes, but DAMN that 330d looks good :drool::drool:

First thing i need to do is get lowered, i'm not enjoying the high ride at the moment. So next would be decent coilovers or spring & shock combo.

From there probably downpipe and remap.

Good move, LCI is far better imo

On the petrol though- I would recommend for weekend cars only,
For a daily, I'd do a diesel, good choice!
I too am looking for one - keeping the straight 6 songs for the weekend!
