Hey guys,

So i got into my car and started it just now and this error appeard on the bc

I did a 'Check' and it showed the same picture as above. I switched the car off and decide to find out from the handbook what error this was. So when I found the error out,

I didnt know what to do, I started the car again and the error disappeared ! I did a 'Check' again and all was ok.

I switched off the car and started it about 4 times and the error didnt appear again.

My car is going to Ross Duncan tomorrow for an oil change, should I mention it to him ?

Is it something to be worried about ?

Glitch in the system ?

Any feedback will be of much help.

Thanks

It mite also be that you opened the door while the car was still in R or D.

or it mite not have been closed Properly.

Still think you need to mention it to him

Thanks Guys,

My gearbox got changed in January this year by bmw before MP expired, so if its anything related to the gearbox, im taking it back to them(bmw) to sort out for free! as it is under warranty.... Lets hope its nothing major !

Thanks Dippie,

Will definately mention it to him tomorrow

I think it's anly the electronic shifter + electronic parking brake that reacts when a door hasn't been closed properly. Could be wrong.

Hope you're issue is sorted quickly!

Hey Guys,

Got the error checked at Ross Duncan,

Battery charging issue, told me to monitor it and if it appears again he will handle it

Experienced the exact same issue, battery and alternator was changed, but the issue still persisted, problem was traced to be a software issue, the car was storing old error codes, a full software update from the agents fixed the issue
