Hi guys, just returned to the country and purchased a 118i E87.
Engine : N46N lci.

Was thinking of doing a complete cooling system flush and replace expansion tank and associated hoses as well as the Chain Tensioner as a means of preventative maintenance.
What do you guys think?

Also I have some white smoke after I idle for a while, Valve Stem Seals? or CCV? (this vehicle has the CCV integrated on the valve cover! - anybody know if the ccv is available on its own?)

Then lastly what OBD Tool do you guys suggest for light/ intermediate DIY use?

thanks in advance guys

Congrats on 1er bro, a great diy and cheap OBD tool is a ELM OBD reader , it works of Bluetooth/WiFi , and you just install the app on your phone and it can read and cancel codes . They’re quite cheap , I saw them ranging from R350.00 on bid or buy

Congrats on the ride!

As Kyle posted above, cheapest Bluetooth obd2 adaptors I've seen were on BidorBuy (try bidding on one that's cheap, but just double check the prices of the 'buy now' ones first)
