Hi all I'm new to this forum. I recently bought a 2009 bmw 135i and I'm enjoying it so far :smilebounce:. It has factory halogen headlights which I find horrible. Is it possible to replace them with oem xenon headlights or any aftermarket hid or led kits ?

Welcome to the forum Guy !

And congrats on the car, maybe have a look at this as a start

From the research I've done it is quite a costly and labor intensive affair, to get an idea, just check Gumtree or the parts for sale section to get an idea of the cost of the headlights, bulbs and ballasts, in addition to that there is the cost of coding and other miscellaneous items. IMO, not worth the cost and effort, best to forget it, or get aftermarket headlights with CANBUS compatible LEDs.

Speak to Firi at Rennsport(see advertiser's section).

He has 1 series and has played around with headlights among other things.

Howsit bud, not sure if you came right with your lights, but i think going the OEM route will be expensive, there are HID kits that will work. If i am not wrong your headlight globe is an H7.. pretty easy to find HID kits. Just don't get the very cheap ones as they don't last very long, the kits nowadays is straight forward plug and play.
Car is looking great bud:thumbs:
Fortunately for me, mine came standard with xenons
