E82 135i dct n55

Hi guys. If all goes well i will acquire the n55 e82 135i dct. What issues should i look out for? What parts generally break and need replacement like fuel pumps. I hear these cars have a water pump issue and the agents replace this under a general recall. Anything inshud be doing if this cars waterpump etc has not been replaced.

Your input and assistance is appreciated.

Water Pump usually goes at around 40 000km , happened to me at 39500km. If its already been replaced then I don't think you should worry.

Water pump @40k? :skit: Hmm

Indeed as everyone mentioned rear tyres every few months and about 2 tanks of fuel a week

Sorry for late reply. Its a 2012/2013. Kilometers 47000 and other 56099
Looks like you're still on motorplan so you should be good, just make sure they are accident free.

Besides the water pump any other issues or preventative maintenance that must be done on N55? Also soon to be an owner

Sorry for the hijacking, just piggy back on the questions already posted

check you gearbox sump seal for leaks
slow gear changes. jerking or jumping when coming to a stop.
what i call lurching when very little power is throttle is applied ( kinda jumps forward and you gotto slam brakes ). a software update fixed this.
water pump for sure even though mine only went at 102 000.

i am pretty easy on tyres got 28k kms on my bridgestones

Mine does the lurching thing. Bloody annoying. Should have a talk with the agents when it goes in next

Would this be a software update to the Gearbox then?

also look out for Charge Pipe cracking and radiator leaks? M/Plan should sort it it out though...

For me the main thing would be to get a car that was not modded or tampered with... No JB4's, Intakes, DP's ect... you dont want one that was already tampered with and driven hard then put to stock and traded in... sometimes u get a good car, sometimes, you get a headache.
