Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and have been browsing for a while. I have only owned VW's and this is my first BMW. I must say, I am very impressed and I am enjoying driving the BMW more than my VW.

I do plan on doing some mods as the pocket allows. First up is to change the wheels to a set of 19's and some lows.

Also would appreciate any advice on these cars as my knowledge is limited?

Onto some pics:

nice and welcome to the site,

what kind of mods you looking for I would look at suspension bush upgrades in the rear helps alot in my opinion removes the jiggly bum tendancies lol

I would definately suggest a msport steering swap

Thank you bud,

I initially wanted to change the front and rear bumper to the Msport ones but I would rather fit some wheels and some lows for now.

is it easy enough to do a steering swap? Mine has paddle shifts so not sure how this will work.

Its not too bad but its really worth it, especially since you have the msport seats already

There are a few builds of E81/7 (1er hatches) including my which can give you some mod ideas

best of luck !

Maybe black out the side trim and some spacers to go with the wheels
You looking to get rid of those 18'z or you going to keep it?

Also the wheels, i love those 18s. so maybe let me know if you plan to change them.

Thank you bud,

I have done some minimal reading around a tune. Thanks for this, I am going to read up on this and decide.

I havent found anything I like as yet but as soon as I do, I will let you know if I decide to sell them.

So far so good bud, the consumption is a killer but I expected that when buying it so no real issues.

I will probably sell it once I find something that I like, will have to see.

Congrats - enjoy your new ride

Thank you,

I see you have two, which do you prefer the 120d or the 125i?
They both great rides for there own reasons, However my daily is the 2.0d as its got great performance with low consumption. wife drives the 125.

Thanks everyone for the kinds words.

Really enjoying the car.

So I picked up an issue the other day and was wondering if anyone could give some advice?

The car has paddle shifts but when I used it, it only shifts gears upwards, I cannot downshift. Anyone experience this before?
