The wife's 125i also had a rough idle changed plugs (got them from dealership) and seemed sorted for sometime. Then started misfiring and coil no. 3 needed replacing. So check the coils while you're changing plugs. BTW this was at around 75k km

im going to do a service on my 125i soon.
going with - NGK Iridium plugs - NGK 6619 Iridium Spark Plugs LFR6AIX-11
also if you need to get a coil pack: BOSCH 470. they around R350-370.
the 470 replaces the 464.

If you’re looking for the LFR6AIX-11 spark plugs you can try AutoTechLight in Benoni - they also deliver and we’ve used them before, can recommend :)

Correction!
i check the box i bought - NGK ILZFR6D11

I apologise for the mistake, i went back to my search history as i was doing research on spark plugs for my car and the previous model number came up, but the above is the correct to what i bought as i have checked the box this morning.

:smilebounce: actually they where the correct Plugs - but no one has so I settled for the Bosch PLZFR6A-11S which funny enough is the same code as the NGK one - and I got them very cheap from Goldwagen, and they work perfect.
Sorted out the bad Idle almost totally, except it has a small hiccup from time to time, But I suspect one of the Coils might be going.

This is the email I received from NGK. "For your vehicle application you need PLZFR6A-11S and we have stock. This is a Platinum spark plug.
The difference between LFR6AIX-11 and LFR6A-11 is that the IX means the center electrode are made from Iridium

With ABM pricing, it's worthwhile just giving them the VIN and taking what they have for the car...

i changed my coils too on saturday. oh what a joy the car is now. truly like a new car, more power. the old coils were totally shot. black and the electrode was round and not a point - on every plug!

yeah the plugs made a difference, in fact so much so the Aircon is better, I think because it was hurting so bad it was cutting power to the aircon. I must still do the Coil Packs
