Hi Brukutu,

I am also trying to install a CID (with a MIO V735 inside) on a E82 (120i M-sport), but I am stuck at the connection pins. Found some advice in another bmw forum: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286884 , where it is explained that

CID plug: -> radio plug

pin 1 : terminal 30 (plus) -> Radio = pin 15 (red/green - thick cable)
pin 3 : terminal 31 (minus) -> Radio = pin 12 (brown - thick cable)
pin 5 : K_CAN High -> Radio = pin 11 (orange/green)
pin 6 : K_CAN Low -> Radio = pin 9 (green)

Now, if I look at the back of the radio, I see two sequence of 12 pins each (numbered 1 to 12 each), and I do not understand how to interpret the above information. If you could post a picture of the connections when you're done with them, I would be extrrrrreeeeemely grrrrrateful!!!

Cheers :wave:, aj

Hi. I will most definatelly will.
As far as i understand. pin 1 and 3 and positive and ground
now, you have to solder 4 wires. one on pin 1, one on pin 3, one on pin 5, one on pin 6
Have yet to do it.

Yes, i have read all those threads where you got your info from.
I have not yet got a CID ;(
I bought one from ebay from germany, still waiting on delivery.

From what i understand, its very easy.
Speaking to someone who did it, here is a copy of some emails. Let me know if you manage.

It only takes 5 minutes to get the screen motorized, not conected to the radio, you have to unplugged the radio and solder the cables to the cables of the radio conector,

first you have to buy at BMW this parts
Well there are to options.. remove the 6 pin connetor (using only 4 btw) and solder these wires directly to your radio or. buy the connector & cables (part nr. 61 13 6909058 + 61 13 0006663 (4x))

flip up plug: -> radio plug

pin 1 : terminal 30 (plus) -> Radio = pin 15 (red/green - thick cable)
pin 3 : terminal 31 (minus) -> Radio = pin 12 (brown - thick cable)
pin 5 : K_CAN High -> Radio = pin 11 (orange/green)
pin 6 : K_CAN Low -> Radio = pin 9 (green)

Of course do not remove the PCB inside because you need it for flip ofcourse.. just the lcd =)

Also, I know someone who modified the CID pcb, so it goes up on HIGH and down on LOW (groud).
THat way its easy to control it. He doesnt wanna reply to my emails as i didnt buy his CID. lol but you could five it a shot.

Might I make a suggestion?

When you update your first post, can you include the date you updated it? Will make it easier to navigate to & find.

Cheers

Andrew
