Hi guys
Vehicle is a 2013 E70 X5 xDrive50i.
I decided to test to check that the spare remote works as my cousin recently purchased this car and upon doing that the driver door and rear passenger door became dead locked ie. could not open even with the original remote.
Had to take out the key and manually open the driver door to get in.
Drove to the garage and now realised that the petrol cap is also dead locked. Central locking button inside does nothing and pressing open on the remote does nothing. Tried looking for the emergency petrol cap release in the boot and this is no longer there (probably yanked out by previous owners at some point).
Tried a battery disconnect for a few hours to reset but still no luck. Car still starts and drives fine. Next day the doors that dead locked alternated to the passenger front and driver side rear - diagonally across.
Anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what could be causing this?
