Thanks, reason i want to know is that i have heard of a 2010 X5 3ld with 111k kms for R250k, fully loaded and in excellent condition. Was wondering if it has the 8 speed (should actually ask the owner but him being in the medical profession would probably not know :skit::skit

Only kidding! Was considering buying it but am so happy with my old 2005 X3 2ld manual which is giving me about 7l/100kms (mostly 30/70 town/open road) that i am not sure if i really need it. Got the X3 for a bargain and cannot believe how much i am enjoying it!! Having sold both my old E60 530d and X5 diesel to family members i am now in the position to get myself something interesting, but not sure what i want. Was thinking maybe 3l Z4? I am after economy, so will probably not be happy for long with a petrol car. Was thinking a 2ld X3 with the eight speed box could be the answer! They are about as large as my old X5 and will also give about 7l/100km or am i wrong? Am actually really enjoying the manual shift on my present X3 immensely! Did the 3l diesel X3 (E83) ever came out with a manual box? That could be the answer to my dreams! Funny how when the new year comes around my itching starts!:RedNo:
