This is awesome, nicely colour combo there as well...Well done! Do you have some more details on the hardware you used for the swap?

Could you not use the manual 645Ci gear trim surround? Would look a lot nicer than that abomination you 3D printed

So it was a little of a stuff up initially because I bought an e9x m3 gearbox complete with used flywheel and used clutch kit. However, I realized that the flywheel and clutch kit I purchased were discontinued by bmw and replaced by different parts because i couldnt get a new clutch kit to fit that used m3 flywheel. I had to fork out another almost 30k for a new flywheel and clutch kit.

Slave and master cylinder are available new or used(if you look hard enough).

My gear selector rods are modified from 3 different cars and welded together to function properly as 1.

Gear selector rod link from a 135 coupe manual.

Propshaft was extended 31mm(if in not mistaken) and balanced by a propshaft repair centre.

Clutch pedal was an absolute pain to find. New price was like 3k. I found a used pedal box for 200 bucks. I think that's off a manual e39.

I had a 2m high pressure cable manufactured with BMW slave and master cylinder connectors to run through the car to operate the clutch. Holes are already made on the chassis by bmw so just need to pop out the rubber grommet.

The brake fluid reservoir is already manufactured with provision for the clutch line, simply cut the plastic pipe and connect it up. Run the pipe through the ready hole in the fire wall to the pedal.

Bought a 6mt bmw light up Gear knob and traced power cables from the original smg harness to get it to light up. Also bought a universal gear lever cover to cover it up but also needs adjustment.

That's basically all that it takes.

The centre console needs to look like this because those buttons are functional. I need to adjust the shape that was 3d printed and reprint it. This was a trial run, but I've been too lazy to do it againšŸ˜…

I personally don't like the 6 series manual pouch, it doesn't allow for the power, edc and traction buttons to mount the way I want them to.

Gearbox is a little difficult to find, must have the correct bell housing to mount up. But overall not a major swop at all.
