So I saw the car throw an error code for the 1st time causing limp mode which would go away after restart and also on cold start.
The obvious problem was throttle actuators. And it appears the gears are indeed worn.
Replacement parts already ordered so I decided to strip the actuators so long and show everyone what they look like at just shy of 90k km
Luckily the mosfets seem undamaged compared to some that I've seen online.
Its advisable to do this asap as the DME ends up hunting for a throttle position with the slop on the gears and this in turn kills the mosfets with the constant voltage changes.
See how badly the inner wheel is worn. The metal motor gear shows no wear on the outer plastic gear which shows its prudent to have a metal gear running on a Plastic gear and not plastic in plastic as can be seen in the pics.
Another premature symptom I've discovered is you will find the car feels like its hunting for an rpm range at cruise speed. A surge like sound and feeling. Thats literally the car hunting for throttle position.
