E60 545i Restraint System Fault Fix

Hi guys - I recently have this "Restraint System Fault" message appearing on my iDrive computer. It would seem I will need help getting rid of this problem, but would like to try and avoid BMW if I can.

Any advice on who might be able to assist will be most welcome!

You will need diagnostics, and it is probably your drivers seat connection.

I have the same error, last time it came up I took it to my mech and he cleared it. Few months later it came up again, tried clearing it but won't clear this time.
For me it is the driver seat side airbag.
