Anybody have any idea what this code mean? It's an M57D30N. I suspect that it is a faulty injector or two.
The error code from BMW Scanner:
DDE* -> 4B10/51 - Engine-roughness regulator
If I Google error code 4B10, I get the following description: Smooth Running Regulation - Correction Quantity too High.
I have ordered an INPA /ediabas K+CAN K+DCAN USB OBD2 cable to get more clarity on the fault.
The symptoms are as follows.
A lot of diesel smoke at start up in the morning, much more than usual.
Lumpy idle
"knocking" when you pull away from standstill
It seems as though the fuel consumption has also gone up
It still seems to perform as normal while driving at speed.
Let's see once I get my new cable.
BTW, I have already changed the Oil separator.
