Ok so Insurance phoned back.

Assesor will be in contact. Car will be towed to a BMW Approved Panelbeater.
I have rental option, paying R1400 deposit and getting a Avis rental for 30 days tomorrow.

Do you guys reckon it will be a write off?

I think it will be a write off, ZF charges around R30K for those boxes. Was there any interior damage from water seeping in?

Never mind, checked the photos again. Not sure what the interior damage is but looks bad considering all the wiring got wet and probably fused some electronics?

As far as electronic damage, only immediate apparent damage is airbag lights that remain on. I have to add I havent investigated much further, its parked with half open windows at home awaiting the flat bed to fetch and deliver to Panelshop.

Oh no that is terrible.

I would wet the rest of the interior completely with tears.

Why on earth does it need to go to a panel shop? It needs to go directly to BMW. I mean there is no body damage.

I would not be surprised if they write it off. New carpets are a must after such complete flooding, else the car will always smell like an old towel
