Hey guys as promised I did my service and took some pictures so that if ever there is a first-timer servicing their E46 they will have a bit of guidance.... Sorry about the pics I tried to upload them individually but there was a limit on size:cry:

So I changed my oil>air>petrol filters and did a oil change
all the parts were original from BMW except for the Petrol filter.
LOL as it was a bit too expensive to purchase from BMW...

First thing remove all engine covers be patient don't break any clips
you will notice a black box in the right corner that's the air filter box you need to remove the 2 bolts on the right side of that box as your air filter in in that box but please be careful as there is a Air Flow Meter which is expensive if you need to replace. You will need to remove this because the pipe that intakes the air goes over and runs next to the oil filter cap and when in place its in the way when you try to open the Cap....

Now you will have space to get to you oil filter cap (I used the
Chain type opener) now you need to go under your car find your oil sump there is a size 14 I think Bolt you need to take out to drain the oil... I usually also open my filter cap so that it have air to run out
I like to clean my oil system 100% even the smallest amount of oil left in the filer I take out with tissue but be careful not to leave tissue behind.

Now to change the Air filter ,which is boxed in and upside down in the right hand corner. be sure not to Damage the Air Flow Meter which needs to be disconnected in order to free up the Air filter box simply look for electrical wires leading to your air filter you will see a plug like unplug it and proceed to unscrew box re-move air filter BEWARE I use the round type air filter.. I washed out the box and changed the filter.

I then also changed my petrol filter this again there are two types mine has 2 in and 1 out with the pressure hose, I had released the pressure from the tit in my engine plus I removed the petrol pump fuse... but this did not stop the fuel from running:flyfun: so I got someone to help me with this and block the pipe while I was busy changing the filter
