discussion E46 Saloon standard rear coil springs saggingreplace with heavy duty

Good day fellow enthusiasts. The rear end of my car is sagging & i would like to replace it with the standerd hight coil springs, but heavy duty. Do anybody have any experiance with this & were can i purchase a rear set locally (Cape Town). Your feed back will be appreseated.

You could findtouring rear springs which aredesigned to carry around100kg more than the sedansprings. Harder to findbutshould suit your needs

there was a time when three of us on the forum tried to lower our E92's with lowering springs and the cars actually went up a bit in the rear, it's an actual problem and a part that people seldomly think of refreshing. If you were to just replace with new OEM coils, i am sure the sagginess will go away without needing heavy duty ones, alternatively you could try to reach out to a place like Van Zyl's and see if they can't make you a tauter spring but that will compromise ride quality.
