Fanatics, my radio and cd player is dead, doesn't wanna switch on.

it was working fine until sunday morning, when it started messing around. at first it wouldn't switch on, but after a couple of tries it would come on and die again after a few minutes.

now it's dead, totally dead.

anyone have a idea what the problem might be?

thanks in advance

Take it to Combined Electronics in Plattekloof, they are wizards when it comes to radios, etc. But it is going to cost you!!

something weird happened yesterday afternoon, while on my home the radio switched itself on, worked until i reached my house.

this morning it's dead again.

I know the cd shuttles in the boot has a fuse that goes in behind it, mine was popped so the shuttle didn't want to work, perhaps the radio also has a fuse in the back of it.

Damb Gremlins!!! :fencelook:

lmao

I took the radio out yesterday and it immediately switched on. It worked yesterday and it was still working this morning.

I suspect it might just have been a lose wire, which came loose after some “spirited” driving last week. (although difficult to believe, but you can also have a spirited driving session in a 318 N42 )

Thanks for all the advice.

I never said a 318 is slow... :nono:
They can get to 260 if you throw one down a mine shaft...

The radio is easy to remove. Just don't damage the trim.

Might be a faulty plug on the unit.

Sent from my S1 while driving using tpatk2 :)

Haha, that's so wrong.. But agree..

Maybe one of you cables were a bit loose at the back of the radio, did you unplug them and plugged it back again?
