if you strip that car down, it's never going back together same as factory. It's nigh impossible to get everything back as new, trim and parts age and break when removed.

I've tried this, my advice is leave alone, rather repair her.

I's such a cool car rather have the damage fixed do touch ups and mods instead.....will be a better over all result.

Im with rick, do not strip unless you have too.

Interior one thing, but dont tear down the body unless you have too.

Keep in mind that she is old, and the rubber mounts/clips/plastics/bits are aged and hardened, a lot of times when you pull them apart, you either break or further weaken them.

Putting the stuff back together, even if you put it back exactly like you took it off, means that it does not go back the same.

If you take some full pics of the damange, I can advise accordingly on the exterior, but everything I have seen can be fixed without too much of an issue without stripping.

Also keep in mind that PDR (Paintless dent removal) is well advanced these days, so there is many area's where you can fix/masage out rather then respray.

What I would advise for that car from what I can see of the photo's is pehaps taking off the clearcoat, spray and blend those really damanged area's, and reapply clearcoat on entire car.

WIll look brand new, but dont take her down to metal, you dont need to.

Also if you do strip down to metal, remember that you have to prime again stragith away, or the panel is going to rust...

is it really better to just use it on the streets where you cant actually use it the way its meant to be...

it all depends on what you want to do with the car... you need to decide what is important to you... if you want it to be good on the track you need to get it as light as possible...
