Hi guys, not sure if anyone started a thread similar to this but as mentioned I would like to convert the old spec tail lights on my 2003 model e46 m3 to the LED spec and just wanted to find out if anyone has done this or had any problems with this conversion.i have read Afew threads and some guys say the LED flickers when the car starts up and you need to flash the car as it will pick up an error with the light?also read there is a plug and play adapter/harness that can be bought to connect up for a easy and quick installation?any help will be much appreciated  it is a set of original LED tail lights .thanks

So you already have the original LED lights but want to fit them? I know if you import aftermarket ones they are already pre wired with the adaptor to fit non LED cars but im not sure if the harness/adaptor alone will help.

Maybe check the net, e46fanatics.com, as im sure someone on there has done it.

I have aftermarket ones on my M3.

They called Eagle Eye. Project shift brings them in and installs them for you. I'd give Burgy a call. He did it all for me.

@Chris,no I don't have them as yet,a friend of mine has them for sale so I'm just doing some homework before I make the decision to get them or not.
@Crash_Nemisis,I have read up on the eagle eye LED and they seem to have got pretty good feedback.I think I will get in touch with Burgy and see what it cost.
Thanks guys

Cost from the dealer for the LED conversion kit (lights, wiring etc) will cost you about 8k.
Lots of people that went for aftermarket ended up doing the OEM conversion eventually.
But Eagle Eye does seem to be the better option if you chosse to go aftermarket.
