E46 M3 Spare Tyre

I just have a quick question to all the E46 M3 owners. Is it possible to get a space saver wheel for this car? Does a space saver kit from the E90 fit the M3 and what is the pcd of the M3?

Someone I know recently bought an M3 and he doesn't trust the airpump/patch kit in the boot and after having a look at it I have to agree its quite pointless.

Thanks in advance! :thumb:

I have to agree with you and that someone.... That repair kit is useless.
Now the next Q will be if the normal e46 jack would work and where to put it.

the problem is that a trolley jack that can reach and lift the subframe jack point is very expensive.

when I change wheels, i usually use a block of wood between the trolley jack and the jack points the sides. this spreads the load evenly.

Only things I have found available so far is Mich PS3's for R5300 and Nakang's for R1600.
Neither are what I really want.

same standard pcd. I use a X3 spare rear. I believe you can use the 5 series one aswell. Standard BMW Jack can just about lift the car high enough to be able to fit the wheel. Get a small overnight bag and just stuff in the jack and a thick rubber 2-3cm block for the jack to stand on and keep it underneath the spare in the boot. That is how i travel with mine.

Perfect thanks, I'm trying to arrange 1 of those biscuits and will then build up a kit.

For local traveling I'm sure i could use the likes of AA, insurance roadside assistance etc. the main concern is for long distance

even local i would rather slap on the spare than wait 1 hour for AA to arrive.

Or put the rim upside down in the boot and boot your goods in the rim if needed i.e. if you are using a full sized spare.
