THE PROCEDURE: There are several steps to the Stage-3 Oil Pump Blueprinting procedure.

1. Disassemble and clean all of the pump components
2. Inspect the pump components
3. Smooth and deburr the pump components
4. Final polish the pump components
5. Clearance the pump components
6. Reassemble the entire pump unit and place it back into operation.

I had the conrod bearings of my Z4 M replaced at a local BMW dealer in November for R13k with 12 month warranty on parts and labour.

ja the dealers are really surprising me with the prices recently i must say
I do agree, the Dealers have come to the party in recent years, and the old thought of staying away from a dealer after MPlan is up is no longer the case.
For me personally, the prices ive gotten from the likes of JSN in Bryanston, and Auto Bavaria Midrand (More so ABM) have been a hell of a lot cheaper than others.
its good.

Blueprint oil pump as described above is a whole lot of nonsense.
I think I mentioned that before. As soon as you polish any surface in the pump you enlarge the clearances which makes the pump inefficient.

R21k is about right for bearings work and R13k is cheap as chips with the price difference being on how it is done.

Not really.

Dealers drop the subframe, drop the sump slap in and send you off.

Others pull the bearings and measure the crank for any wear, and thoroughly inspect/measure before just slapping together. Plenty of cases of i changed by bearings and then 20 000km later it chucked a rod through the block tales.

I went with Tunetech for rod replacement recent as Feb 2021, mine was the same.

I didn't even bother with dealership as they wouldn't have picked up other issues found. Found dealership only interested in new cars (for technical repairs and continuous improvement of old cars).

After my last few jobs done at the dealership (JSN and ABM) The most recent abortion of a job done at ABM I will stay clear of them. I will buy parts from them but never ever will I let them touch my car again...They honestly don't know what they are doing.
