Hi guys,
Just wondered what sort of prices one might expect to pay for mint condition original spec (ie no mods) E46 M3 Coupes.
In searching the web, it's quite clear that there are prices being asked that make ones eyes water then there are the sensible prices which appear to be in the range of between R199k to R245k; mostly the variations are mileage related.
There's one minter I have seen that has an asking price of R330k:skit:
And a convertible at R489k:skit::skit:
Would welcome expert feedback.
Thanks
honestly i have asked this same question before,however i had seen approximately 30 - 38 examples in and around south africa before buying mine,it depends alot on those cars the colour,extras,mileage model and condition,they have a tendancy of tearing the subframe under neath the boot,so to find one that hasnt been repaired is rare,as for bearings,these cars are not like the v8 m3,they dont really throw bearing issues,so long as the car has frequent oil changes,driven at right oil temperature,and the right viscosity oil being used,to put u into perspective,if you buying a 2004 and upwards model with harmon kardon,and rear blinds,with underneath 100k mileage,and no comments on vin,be sure to pay atleast 260 to 270k ...depending on wheels and colour combo and interior condition for that mileage,if you have diamond cuts or original csl wheels,fold up mirrors,and or sat nav in the car expect to pay between 300 and 360 depending again on mileage and colour .....i paid 280k for mine,and i paid it with a smile because of mileage,condition,colour and model aswell as extras....if you buy at low mileage and full service history ....be sure even at that price ul recieve a decent trade in....i was offered 245k on trade in at bmw supertech ......so which means the overall concept was welcomed by even the dealerships,things of caution is that in durban i know of people who are chopping mileage,and spraying seats to make them look new,but again suspension rubbers,colour and staining of undercarriage,carpets,engine idle noise,steering ,vibrations,scuffings on panels,l.e.d on headunit,headlight and tail light condition all will suggest to you more than enuf to judge whether or whether not the condition meets mileage ....
