Stuff that for a joke
•Castrol TWS 10w60 engine oil (7 quarts) -Liqui Moly GT1 Race spec, going to cost you R800 for 10L
•OEM oil filter - Can do a pirate, but R250 I guess
•OEM air filter - Standard E46 R300 bucks
•OEM fuel filter - Maybe 1k from the agents,
•OEM NGK spark plugs - R150 a plugx6 I would recon agents
•Ate Super Blue brake fluid 200 +300 at a brake and cluthc guy to swap
•A/C microfilter R300
•Red Line transmission and differential oil (2 quarts of each) + 800 from Liqui Moly
Time Wise.
Oil Change + Filter = piss easy, 30 minutes
Air filter, 1 minute, may be
Fuel filter, 20 minutes, including jacking up the car to get under the passanger seat, just clips in
Plugs, 15 minutes with a plug spanner, one cover to remove.
Brake fluid have done at a brake and clutch guy with a pressure bleeder, R300 maximum for labour, should be about 150 actually... and about 150 for the fluid... THis one sucks to do by yourself, and if you stuff it up...
AC Micro filter, 3 minutes, including sipping on a beer.
THe transmission and diff flushes are somewhat more tricky, but this is also piss basically,
Put the car up on 4 tressels, so that it is off the ground, open up the drain plug on each, let the old fluid pour out, then using a sturdy hand pump just pump fluid straight from the container until they are filled.
You can stick your finger into the hole of the gearbox/diff repectively, and as soon as your finger is in line with the oil level, your good to go.
It takes a 17 hex if memory serves, if you dont have, builders sells a damm nice mastercraft set for R350, and you have an awesome tool. I would allow 1 hour each per gearbox/diff if you have never done this, 15 to 20 minutes is more likey.
So
Parts your looking at R4050 guessing, if you go for pirate plug, you can bring that down, just use a good brand - Bosch/NGK equiv.
Labour works out to 3.15 hours
If I was doing this, I would have charged about 1,500 for the entire job.
Do it yourself bud
