E46 M3 Fuel Gauge Error

Hi all

Have an E46 M3 and the fuel gauge says its empty with the light on but i put fuel in the car and it was full..

Any idea what the issue is?

Blockage?
Faulty Reading?
Fuse?

Sounds like the in-tank sender is faulty, remove and inspect it for broken wires or damage.

I had same problem this weekend , filled the tank , it only showed slightly over half , drove for about 250 k's , car was already on the warning light , switched off to take a break , started the car and the correct reading showed , not the first time it happened , spoke to some of the guys who work and own these cars and they all say it is the float , can be a bummer when you turn around to go and fight at the filling station only to be showed that they did fill your car .
