E46 M3 Exhaust

Hey guys,

I have a Wildcat system on my car, and I HATE the sound.

Ive watched hundreds of videos on Youtube with all different types of exhausts and I like none of them.

I want my car to sound more throaty, more like a v8, like Barry White gurgling wasps!

Ive been back to wildcat and they are useless, they dont know how to do it.

Ive looked at doing an x pipe, changing rear boxes, going single pipe, but im not 100% convinced.

Any ideas?

you need more volume in the exhaust system to make it deeper look at adding more boxes or making the existing ones bigger...

Then you haven't watched Miltek e46 M3 Youtube videos.
That really is an epic deep, non rasp sound

There are distributors of miltek in SA but get ready to bend over $$$$$$

This is the first time I am glad I don’t have the e46 M3 anymore, otherwise I would have been too tempted

Have you tried Tnt.

I have heard one at Savspeed that had a Tnt system. Sounded nice and deep. It was a turbo car though.

Im not so sure on an M3 but changing the back box to an aftermarket freeflow is a no no for me. I hate the sound of a freeflow, especially on a BMW

Keep the stock back box and do a decat and X pipe.

Otherwise maybe go for a properly designed and manufactured system like Supersprint/ Active Autoworks / Corsa etc...

just my 2c:=):

Stock is the best sound IMO, all that I would do is a replace the cats with straight pipes, rasp heaven

i got a price on the Milltek back box to the e46 M3 just out of interest and it came to 15k...

That being said its all that you need seeing as the M3 basically ony has two cats and a backbox
