Had a customer call us requesting for more power, as the 46 is not cutting it at Altitude. Vehicle still needs to hit the rollers, however Initial gain was 5% after software was loaded ; After 200km added to the clocks the car adapted quite exquisitely and the gains where worth the 200km wait. Midrange & Topend power increased and this was in normal driving mode. Push the Sport button and "OMG" The car is another animal! Will post up Dyno figures once car hits the rollers :cartel:

Keen to find out exactly what the sport does too? Mine just seems to sharpen throttle response (as in, the same movement of the accelerator has a great effect than normal). But when the throttle is fully open I don't expect there to be any difference?

I'm not sure if the sport button can be programmed to have different effects?

In Stock form, there was very little change, could also say there was no change at all.

The throttle plays a significant roll, with additional map tables. It can determine quantity for timing\fueling and follow on with the relevant limiters.

does the same in my car also... sharpens the throttle more especially on the Lower rpm range,

Here's some details i found... I would assume its the same for E46 m and z4M since they all drive by wire.

And these values can be changed within the file, making it even more sensitive.

This is exactly right. The car produces the exact same amount of power whether the sport button is on or off, it is simply the fact that the throttle map is more aggressive when Sport mode is on, that gives the driver the impression that the car is faster because less pedal movement = more throttle opening (an oversimplified version). Full throttle on both modes will yield the same performance.
