E46 M3 Bumper sag advice

Hi guys,

So my E46 M3 has some rear bumper sag that I need to sort out soon because it irritates the absolute crap out of me. I know its quite a common thing with E46's. Most obvious on mine is where the rear bumper meets the rear quarter panel on both the drivers and passenger sides. Passenger side is hanging about an inch. :O Gross right?

Anyways...

Has anyone had this problem on their cars and had to get it sorted? Or can anyone advise me on the best way to handle it. I don't want to just take it to any old body shop and let them go crazy. And I would probably like to avoid the stealerships. Would like it to be with someone that knows these cars and how the clips/brackets work with these cars.

Dankie julle.

Had the problem. You can buy clips at BMW to fix this.

See:http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=67977

There are a few DIY's on the net as well

Thanks Chris... looks Fairly simple if this is the case.

I also feel like the rear of the bumper is a little further away from the boot line than it should be. Maybe bracket tightening near middle of the bumper?

I also want the front bumper to be re-aligned so id rather a shop does it all if possible?
