There is a hood sensor which is likea little button that the bonnet presses when it's closed. It's located near the brake fluid area near to the battery terminal. It's a common fault causing this issue.

Did you manage to solve the issue bud?

My car alarm is faulty.. When I arm the alarm, the light flashes very fast (1 flash a second) and then slows down to a slow flash (normal - 1 flash every 3 or 4 seconds). Shortly after that, the alarm goes off and it is irritating. This is intermittent as some times the flash is normal and other times it is erratic (as described above).

Any help will be appreciated.
