Hey Guys

One of my buddies bought herself a 320i full shell with papers for a steal.
The car just does not have a motor or gear box

Now she wants to do ls1 swap in .
The price she is getting the motor for is 65k and that comes with the gear box (man 6 speed) and start ecu.
The shell she has was an auto.

Is this a big conversion to get done and what are the pros and cons.
She wants to be different and not fit a 2jz , as she loves a v8
Car will be used for drifting and just some fun, nothing serious.

conversions are not cheap and bang for buck you cannot compete with the 1jz/2jz/rb25/m5x turbo

I have a lexus v8 and I love the sound and the torque too and since its a 320i you will probably need to upgrade the diff,propshaft and side shafts

Parts really start adding up quick so excluding the motor you are probably looking at another 30k to do the conversion
