Hi guys !

Does anyone know what this glue is? What brand it is? or whats it called?
its behind the door pad , sort of stuck around the edges of the door , It holds a molded polystyrene like grey sheet to the door keeping out wind noise , water etc.
What is this black chewing gum like glue?
Where can I find it? Will the dealers have it?

Im going to have to remove this sheet soon and want to reglue it back into place properly, I dont want to use silicone or anything like that , would prefer to use the original stuff .

Thanks for all responses!

Oh no, I have that tape, this is like a glue a gummy black thick glue that's restickable somewhat , on the inside of the door, it looks like it would come out of a tube.

Anybody know what it is?

I went to BMW today , thought Maybe I could buy this thing but they didn't have it , they said If I had a part number maybe they could order it.

Im not sure if im being clear here on the part I need the glue for , It covers all the internal pieces of the door , The door card goes above it .

Its part 9 , Its a thin grey plastic foam sort of thing thats stuck to the metal with a Black gummy thick , almost rubbery type glue .
My E30 has this as well , though my E30 has a faded plastic sheet there . Though also stuck on with this same sort of glue .

I don't want to use black silicone or anything like that .

You can get it at a good panel shop supply company, like Marouns or MAR.

It comes rolled up in between plastic sheets. Pretty easy to get. I used it when I restored the MLE.

Ask a good panel beater near you, sure they willl supply you some.
