E46 Dead radio screen....

I have one of those Satnav/radio combos, today the screen just died, as did all the controls on the radio itself, if it wasn't for steering wheel controls I would have zip.....
So, where too from here? Are they repairable/worth repairing?
I see these aftermarket units that fit in the same slot, GPS, radio, CD player, MP3 etc.....is this a better alternative given that my screen is now dead?
The Satnav GPS has never impressed me, slow to react, I cannot get any updated map info after 2008, the sound is very good, but having CD's in the boot is a bit of a PIA.....

ultimate spares 0712513128 they might have a unit in stock.

Sorted, disconnect plugs from head unit, reconnect, head unit works again.
