Took my one out about 3 times.
After 1st time I did not replace that top screw. For f$%ks sake that one is not needed. The thing clips in and 2 more screws should hold it there
Imported 2 from the UK (motormec). They worked only for a short while about 1 year.
Currently original one in place and working, though the connector is damaged and needs replacement.
Iceman unselfishly gave me a new connector (Thanks bro)

I think my problem is the connector. When I replace it, I will test all three of the hedgehogs I have. I just do not know how to test them otherwise.

So now I just need some time.

OK so I finally did this-- not as bad if you get that PITA screw early - took about 10mins of prodding in its direction to get it - working in confirned space "hands above your head" gets tiring very quickly - the top part of that screw is just visible in the upper left of the flange - once seen you can target it - I used a 1/2" extension + ratchet and T20 bit - once you feel you got it hold on to that extension for dear life while undoing - took me the best part of an hour but mostly trying to find where the elusive screw was...:argh:

BTW a good tip is to put a couple of milk crates at the door sill to rest your butt on with a duvet over it into the footwell - nice and comfy

Anyway glad i got this one outta the way...

Did this DIY took me 3 days:fencelook: to get the hidden screw out .

3 days due to lack of time due to work, due to lack of proper tools, fabricating a tool to substitute the torx t20 bit, fabricated tool didn't work so finally went out to buy a t20 screw driver. struggle some more,

Finally at the end of the third day got the screw out, as stated above that screw is not really needed as the resistor fits snug in the compartment and everything else holds it firmly in place.

TIP: instead of doing the upside down hands above your head/face, rather get some support for your stomach lay a thick blanket/duvet across driver door sill and lay on your stomach face first into the pedal area and position your head and body you can get a slight glimpse of the screw and get it out.

If you not in the mood for some frustration sweat and tears "screw" it and get a professional to do it.
