Hi Gents,

Looking at purchasing the clear tail lights from Gdrive Automotive. Since I am not in Jhb and can't have a look at them first hand, maybe one of you have seen these lights and can tell me if they look oem.. I don't want to buy blind. Importing them works out to be a fair bit more with the exchange rate and taxes/customs.

Thanks

Alternatively you could find out the brand and Google the brand to see if anyone's made any reviews on them?

That is a great idea :coolShake: Depo is a reputable brand so hopefully that's the one they have!

Have you tried the dealer?
Not sure how much they are now, but in 2010 when I was looking for clears for 325ci, they sold the clears in kits for a very good price back then.
I didnt end up getting cos the coupe didnt have a kit as the headlight and indicator was one unit - so that made it quite a bit more costly

I did call the dealers but they want R2000 per piece :skit: R8000 for the rears alone :hammerhead: For the complete set now (front indicators, side repeaters and rear tailights) I am looking at R4000 from G-Drive versus importing at R5500 (plus SAPO are unreliable).

Had a look at the DEPO lights today and have to say I'm unimpressed.. I guess the search continues :blueCry: If only the stealers weren't so damn expensive :skit:

The TYC are no better than the Depo. Rather OEM bud, buy one a month if you cannot afford all at once, the outcome will be worth it.

When I bought the clear OEM rear set for the 330i in 2008 from Auto Glen I got the set for R1850, they had a special on them back then.

Thanks bud.. Those lights from the stealers are now, R1700 for the front set and R5500 for the rear set. Worst part is those are net items :blueCry: No discount for me... I'm in 2 minds right now, I can afford it but is R7k justified on a nice to have.. I am so damn confused :hammerhead::YesNo:

V.R.Sexy6 did me a favour and went to view the ones for sale in Germiston. Holy crap there were bad from the pics he sent me, one even had yellow glue on the inner clears :RedNo:
