E46 bonnet modification

Does anyone know where I will be able to have bonnet modified? I want the middle part raised a bit, because the Lexus engine barely clears the bonnet when I close it. Besides, I think it will give meaner look to the car if I can have this done.

whatever you do dont just fit one of those generic bonnet scoops :yuck:

I would rather cut a hole in the bonnet and make a 'cooker' hood before fitting a scoop...

How far are you from Pretoria??

I am 700 km from Pretoria, but I do visit family there sometimes. Any place you can suggest doing this?

Couldn't agree with you more on that one. that's why I want to rather have the bonnet lifted in the middle as a whole, I would rather drive a donkey cart than fit a generic scoop, thank you!!

Well, I might, and they do great work!!
Artistic Auto Body. I've known them for about 18 years now.

Owner is Dino, and his son is Aldo. Tell them Francois Spietkop refered you, and ask if they would be able to help you with modifying the bonnet.
Best would be to get a replacement bonnet, and thus you can have that one done while the car is using the current bonnet. :dunno:

Thanks, will do. I am in Pta next week for a work function, so I might pop in and explain to them what I need....

I know Lukas did an epic transplant of a V8 M3 motor into his E46 and ended up cutting a hole before fitting a bulge. Not sure what the outcome was on the bonnet, but the build was absolutely first class from beginning to end.
