Yes there are holes with rubbers in them to hold on the beading.

If you try and remove them without taking off the door cards or some proper trim removal tools you will cry after about 5 minutes as all the plastic plugs would have been broken.

Tip: I've taken mine off twice already. Broken the first clip I took off, then got clever: Spray some soapy water behind the trim and simply slip it out. Never broke anothe clip again

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking of taking them off for cosmetic reasons only. Was also thinking of getting them colour coded to match the car. But will leave it as it.
