E46 Air bag Light

Hi Guys

How can I get rid of this Warning light that is permanently on? There is nothing wrong with the airbag. Light just popped up.

Could be some resistance in the wiring to the airbag or maybe there is a pretensioner on the seatbelt that might be PMS'ing.

Best have the codes read for a propper outcome.

Ahhh yes that correct!

It's most likely seat ocupancy sensor. Have your codes read. And call bmw about the recall

If u did any repairs around the seat or even replaced the window mechanism and turned the key on with the airbag disconnected, it can give u the error which will need to be cancelled.

I had mine reset, vacumed the car & touched something under the seat & light came back

Mine has been reset so many times.
Once even by BMW, they checked everything and assured me there's nothing wrong. Charged me for it and still the light shows up

I've just accepted it now. After every service it's off and then after a while it's back again.:argh:
