[Straight six]

Hope everyone has had a great start to the year (Even through these tough times)

I love my car's Exhaust but I feel there's more there (craving for 20-30% more sound)

I don't want to be the loudest in the block...but perhaps wake up the M54b30 just a tad

Would really appreciate if members could drop sound clips of their 30i for me to gauge

Would a De-Cat or a change of only the Back Box only be worth it? (Full on Stainless Steel would probably be out for now)

Exploring ideas.....will appreciate feedback

I would suggest that you leave the stock backbox alone as it plays a big part in that sound you love. I'd suggest secondary decat as that will give it a more aggressive tone and the occasional pops during spirited driving.

If that's still too tame, headers, since the primary cats are on the headers themselves. This will just dial everything up to 11 without being overbearing and best of all, there won't be any drone with such a setup.

When it comes to the M54B30, I would recommend keeping the stock setup. Have a few mates with different setups and stock simply sounds the best.

Unless you fork out big bucks and do headers as well as full system (stainless), it ain't worth it.

I have a full Viper system on mine, including headers.. Best mod I ever did, car sounds superb and the crackles/pops are an added bonus.

My previous 330i had a back box change (apparently "Van Der Graaf") and decatted stock manifolds, sounded wild!

Will Try and post some sound clips ...headers + decat

and another with the whole system done ( headers + mid box and rear silencer)

I have always wanted to experiment by adding an x pipe to a stock system maybe this is an option for you

The stock system has a factory x pipe, IIRC.
