Good day.

I have 2001 e46 330i manual with 208 000km on the clock. Partial service history.

I bought the car in 2019, I am the second owner.

I have replaced thermostat, radiator, expansion tank and upper radiator hose. I did a major service end of last year.

I know this is a difficult question, but what would be a good figure to look at when selling my car.

Older cars are tricky to price. It all depends on the work done on them. A R70k 330i could easily cost you another R70k to sort out.

I am running at circa R200k each (give or take) for my E46s (though its Ci versions). Wont be selling anytime soon to get the value of the investment made.

Current sales price range I see on the net is R65k to R120k for Sedans.

In your position, I would suggest you detail all the work done on the car:

1. Suspension (front and rear control arms, bushes, tie rods, what have you changed)

2. Cooling system (water-pump, thermostat, coolant tank, tank cap, pipes, etc.)

3. Shocks (which brand as brands differ wildly on price, e.g. Koni’s vs Gabriel

4. Gearbox mount, engine mounts, guibo/flex disc

5. Diff service, gearbox service

6. Fuel system (Petrol pump, petrol sender, petrol filter?). The VDO petrol pump unit is circa R5k at BM

7. Common oil leaks (Oil filter housing gasket, gaskets, rear main seal, etc.)

In all this work, what parts were used? Eg. Flex disc from BMW is R3.6k, other areas is less than a thousand. In all this, a file of some sort to demonstrate is key. I keep all my receipts.

History on the car:
1. Any accidents?
2. Any paint work on it ? Even if its bumper refresh, its best to disclose.

These are very nice cars, all the best with the sale.
