its true, we will be hard pressed to grow enough to supply current diesel demand.. however we cannot grow petrol at all

and hydrogen will always be dead in the water (pun ), nature screwed us there, will always take more energy to liberate hydrogen from its natural forms than the such liberated hydrogen can give back.. :dunno:

Personally I will only admit that diesel has caught up with petrol once you get NA diesel engines with performance that is comparable to NA petrol engines

lol, you never will.. two different engine concepts.. turbo's are what made diesels mainstream. besides, better start getting used to diesels, only viable engine we currently have that has a renewable fuelsource..
