E46 330 Fuel gauge

Hi guys

Hopefully one of the you guys can help me out. My fuel gauge seems to be playing around with me:argh: I noticed that my tank was on half and next thing I noticed was the gauge going up to full..
Now i know i shouldn't complain lol but i dont wanna get stuck on the road without full.
Now the guage takes forever to move down even after i filled her up to be safe and after about 300 km's it's showing half again like it dont wanna fall below the half mark....almost like it get stuck there.
I checked on my OBD and it shows what the Gauge shows basically....could it be a sensor or a float that's faulty in the tank or what can it be??

I know someone who had a similar issue with their 330i, ended up being one of the fuel level sensors.

I recently picked up an E46 330i and have the same problem... any input on how the issue was resolved would be appreciated

Hi Robert...fortunately for me this problem rectified it self and my gauge is working properly again:thumbs:
I still dont know why it happened though...but i was gonna look at my fuel level sensor like Coisman said but dont need to for now.
