I have checked under the carpet but don't seem to find it on that side

This is what happened in CT in 2014, trying to source parts and repair

Is it not the black box on the top right corner of the picture maybe

E46 330i 2004 Engine rattle on cold start and misfire.

I have the same problem as the above from another thread although mine is a bit different, in the mornings the car will sometimes stay in a high idle and not come down at all, maybe only after 30 minutes to 1 hour later?
When i drive to work in the mornings and after standing in the "STOP & GO" traffic, my car starts to misfire continuously but if i come to a complete stop and switch off the car and re-start then all is normal again unless i stand for a long period of time.

I am hoping to get a chance to check all the vacuum pipes/piping this week end and see if i can trace any leaks.

I have not got any codes read as yet, Anybody have any similar issues or can assist in any way from there experiences please

Worked on the car this week end, found all my inlet manifold bolts were loose tightened them up and the misfiring stopped. I am so sure that the gasket needs to be replaced as well now.

Need to change all the vacuum pipes and they all seem very hard and brittle, car is blowing blue smoke when you start so thinking of doing a full recon of the cylinder head before end of this year hopefully

So got all my bush tools last week bought some bolts and started to strip and change halfway through clean forgot to take pics so carried on working:sorry:, all i can say that with out air tools they very hard to do. Only managed change 3 bushes because i stripped the nuts.

The bush extractor/installer works awesome used high tensile 10.9 grade bolts but still managed to strip the threads on the nut.

I either need to jack the car up much higher or get my car on the lift to work on, either way im enjoying the work for now.

Think im rather going to take the trailing arms off the car and try remove/install it that way as i still have to do the alignment as well.
