i still need to get it tuned so have not dynoed it... need to make sure everything is right before it goes for a tune...

but the rear wheels break traction way easier so its definitely gained... i will see how much when i get it tuned :)

Wow! I will let you know how my Decat goes. Do you have cat foolers or did you leave the oxygen sensors in place?

i only have two O2 sensors for regulating the air fuel mix so i did not have to worry about how to fool the system

if you go to a good exhaust shop they should know what works for the e46...

Thanx for that info. I was thinking Powerflo in Tokai. After that I will reset my adaptation values myself. Where are you planning to Dyno ur car? And what are the price range for a tune?

Thanks for the heads up. So SAC is a no-no. Maybe some of the fanatics here in Cape Town can recommend a reliable Tuner

There is a place right next to Powerflow Tokai called Mace. I remember getting a quote on a chip from them (can't remember how much) but they do tunes so maybe walk over when you are at Powerflow. I think they actually get their exhaust work done at Powerflow so you might get a decent deal between the two.

Do not expect any power gain unless your car's done 200k and the cats are totally stuffed and restrictive. If your car is 2005 or older you will not need mini cats to fool the ecu. Cost at Zeemax for full decat around R3k, takes 3 days. But if you got low mileage don't bother - rather spend the bucks on a sprint booster

Hey man i have the same car as yours. 325ci pre facelift. Do both the exhaust decat (full system if you can) and do the decat in the headers. i had mine done at powerflow tokai. Decat headers is like +-R1800 it is quite a timely job (2 days) and the exhuast decat is about +- R600. I didnt need any cat foolers at all.
My car hasn't been tuned yet but planning on it very soon. I took my car on the Zeemax dyno and made 145.5kw and 239nm. Which is pretty good seeing that my car is now 10 years old.
Car sounds like a dream. well worth it.
hope this helps
