Need some advice\input



My battery light stays on, then off......then after a while comes on again

Last week while driving home after playing music for a while(standard sound), my ABS,ASC lights came on, while the battery light stayed on..then after a while an Info warning light came on(where you see the Gear you are in) Auto Car...

Then the car would not start...after switching it off

Charged my battery took it to an Auto Elec(he saw nothing wrong), car was fine no lights...then yesterday it came on again

When I did the voltage test, when off its 12.2..when idling its on 14.1

What could be the problem(Battery is a month old)

Faulty battery if this issue only started after replacing the battery

but would it do it after having the battery for a month??..shud it not given problems from day 1?

If the battery has a weak/faulty/dead cell it takes a few weeks to show signs of it :thumbs:

On my E53 X5 i had a two year (or longer) issue with the lights dimming when at idle or at a stop sign/robot. After having replaced the perfectly good battery with a new one and servicing the alternator i eventually traced the problem to a slightly loose earth cable connection to the chassis (although the connection felt tight when trying to wiggle it i could tighten the bolt 360 degrees) Made all the difference - it is now a pleasure to turn the key to start the car as it starts like a new car!! Tighten the connections at the battery and earth is my advice.
