E46 320d Help Needed

My dad has a 2002 BMW E46 320d (pre faccelift)

From what I understand there is preasure at the injectors, there is fuel at the injectors but the injectors do not open.
My dad bought a ECU second hand thinking it is the problem but needs to load the software on the current ECU to the new one.

If anybody can help with transfering the software please let me know.

I do not think it is ECU as the doors and everything else works.
The motor turns over but does not start due to the lack of fuel.

Any advise would be appreciated

Gave Fanie at Tune-Tec a call, looks like they will be able to assist but can not tell us if the ecu is in fact the problem

unlikely that it is the ecu.
the pre-facelift injectors are not triggered by the ecu, they are opened by pressure timed by the vp44 distributer pump.. the main culprit in pre-facelift injection problems is usually the distributer pump..

Agreed, I suspect Distributor pump as the culprit here, my neighbour had identical issues. Pressure at the injectors, but not ENOUGH pressure to open them.
