E46 320d head change

Hi All

Is it possible to fit a facelift head onto my pre facelift E46 320d? Would I need to change intake manifolds for injectors, management and turbo setup?

inlet manifolds are different (have tried to swop pre-facelift onto a facelift,was a reason it would not work which i cant quite recall) management obviously quite different, as is glowplug setup..

injectors fit directly into the head, which might be the main reason the heads cant interchange, (common rail injectors vs. vp44 injectors) but im not sure, never tried..

think exhaust manifolds MIGHT be the same..

best way would be to just have the two heads next to each other and compare..
